ETP Assessment & Performance
Improvement Program
A proper functioning Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) with adequate capacity is essential to treat wastewater from textile wet processes. Performance of an ETP depends on two key factors, one is design and another is proper operation & maintenance.
Most of the factories in Bangladesh are not capable to run their ETPs properly, either for inappropriate design or for lack of competent people. Most of the ETPs’ vital parameters like MLSS, MLVSS, RAS, F/M ratio, retention time, etc. are not maintained at an optimal level. We also observed that some wet process units increase their production capacity or change their process without retrofitting their ETP.
Why should we do an ETP Assessment?
